Septebmer 1st--Suggested timeline for Word assessment to occur district-wide
A suggestion has been made to this affect. Diana allows each school 1 "meter," 1 actual assessment of the Word assessment--like the one we all covered as a group at our March IT Leads conference. You share this with your staff as a "run through" to ease their anxiety, you don't tell them it's "the test" and you don't allow for them to take notes. It's taken as a group just as we took it. Questions:Would this compromise the integrity of the assessment? Do you feel comfortable and trust that your team could preserve the assessment's integrity and not lead staff on to what the review is about? This 'exposure' to the assessment could occur in June/July and even mid August but that's it. You then have the data from that trial to work on the very specific items that your school needs more training on before we actually allow for the actual assessment in September.
I will, of course, have to continue working on asking Mr. Contreras to approve my suggested policies with regards to how many times a person can take an assessment, remediation time, failure to comply with taking assessment, etc. (as per yor input at our last 2 meetings).
Diana still needs to send out info on how to cite videos and other items in .ppt to group. All other promised info (from conference) has been forwarded to IT Leads.
